About Us

Our village hall plays an important role in the old fishing village of Johnshaven. It provides a place where people can come together and take part in a whole range of events and activities. Built in 1876, the hall came under community ownership in 1957 and has been busy ever since hosting an incredible variety of activities from bowling, bridge and Guides to ceilidhs, bingo, weddings, parties, pantomimes, theatre, cinema, sport and formal meetings.
The venue has three meeting areas, a main hall and smaller hall downstairs and a multipurpose room in the upper hall. Tables and chairs are available in all three rooms.
